Concert Details
Thank you for your interest in hosting me for a concert at your church! It is such a joy to bring encouragement and inspiration through music to congregations, and I look forward to being with you soon. My aim is to make these concerts as simple as possible for the host church. On this page, you will find the minimal needs required for a concert and a list of additional (optional) requests. Concert Overview
This concert is completely free to your church: there is no booking fee, nor do tickets need to be sold. The only request is that a love offering be taken at some point during the concert to help support this ministry.
The concert will last approximately 75 minutes (including time for the offering). The set list is made up of a variety of hymns, gospel, and lushly-orchestrated contemporary worship songs. All songs are accompanied by tracks, which will be managed by David on his laptop from the stage.
David will arrive approximately 90 minutes before the concert start time to soundcheck and work out any details with the church’s audio engineer. Concert doors may open 30 minutes before the concert.
What’s Included
David will provide the following services and assets:
- Marketing graphics for print (posters, bulletin inserts), social media, website, and slide projection
- Laptop to run tracks from the stage
- 75-minute free concert (including time for love offering)
Requirements
On the Stage:
- 1 microphone for vocalist (Shure SM58 or better, wired or wireless)
- 1 or 2 monitor wedges (a wireless in-ear monitor system is also acceptable, David will bring his in-ears)
- Audio cable: 3.5mm jack to single or dual 1/4″ jack (this or similar: click here)
- Direct box to send tracks to church audio system (this or similar: click here)
- Power source for laptop (extension cord or on-stage outlet)
- Sound engineer to monitor and adjust house mix of vocalist and tracks
- 1 straight microphone stand
- 1 small table or stand to hold laptop
After the Concert
- 1 six- to eight-foot table for merchandise at the back of sanctuary or in a nearby foyer/gathering area
Optional Requests
Before the Concert:
- A private green room (for changing and warming up) with direct access to a restroom
On the Stage:
- 1 tall, backless stool (at least 32 inches tall)
- Projector screen/LED video wall (for concert graphics)
After the Concert
- 1 volunteer to assist at the merchandise table
